Year 11 Work from Home

Home / Year 11 Work from Home

Dear Parent/Carer,

There has been a rise in the Delta coronavirus variant in Greater Manchester. This has significantly affected staffing numbers at Dean Trust Ardwick. As a result we are asking all Year 11 pupils to stay at home today and access the sessions remotely.

There will be a presentation by Kate Wood www.statetalking.org/portfolio/katewood at 9.15am. This talk can be accessed through this link Kate Wood Link 9.15am. The link has also been posted on the Google Form Classrooms.

At 12.00pm two apprentices and a graduate from Accenture will share their personal stories and give an overview of the opportunities available to pupils wanting to follow a similar route. Accenture Apprentices Link

Kate Wood will also be interviewing a member of the team from Manchester Digital exploring Tech opportunities in the North West at 2.15pm. This session can be accessed via the same link. Kate Wood Link 2.15pm

For the rest of the day the pupils can access a series of courses independently on your gameplan.co.uk.www.yourgameplan.co.uk

We are also moving all of the Form Tutor appointments on Thursday 10 June online. Please ask your child to log into their Form Google Classroom to meet with their Form Tutor at the allocated time.

We are very hopeful that by taking the action that we have today and tomorrow that we will be able to go ahead with our leavers celebrations for Year 11 on Friday.

Many thanks for your continued vigilance and support in keeping our community safe.

Many thanks,

Chris Smith
