Year 10 Working from Home

Home / Year 10 Working from Home

Dear Parent/Carer,

Following the recent number of positive COVID cases reported in Year 10, we have made the decision in consultation with Public Health England to send the remaining Year 10 pupils home after lunch today to reduce further risk of transmission. Please reply to the text message to give permission for your child to make their own way home at 1.30pm.

Teachers will set work for pupils to work remotely this afternoon and on Monday, in addition to attending school during a designated time, to take a lateral flow test. Individuals who have been identified as close contacts will not attend school for testing on Monday as they will have to continue to serve out their 10-day isolation period.

We will send you further communication with the time that pupils should come to school for their COVID test on Monday later this afternoon. The outcome of the mass testing will determine the plans for next week. However, if the majority of pupils are able to return to school on Tuesday we intend to continue with the mock examinations; pupils isolating will complete them on-line at home and pupils with a negative test result from Monday will return to school on Tuesday to do their mock examinations in school.

Mr Hull will be hosting a meeting online for Year 10 parents this afternoon if you have any questions. Year 10 Online Meeting with Mr Hull 2.30pm.

Many thanks,

Mrs Dunn
