Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope that you are having a healthy and restful break.

Following the Government’s announcement yesterday afternoon regarding the opening of schools in the New Year, only, the following pupils only should return to school on Tuesday 5th January.

Children of Key Workers (from any year group) Please complete the online registration form for your child’s place by no later than 10:30 am on Monday 4th January: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1b8GkmrUKZVhQZOFhdMZk-x_dVwAFJ41JqcbLzcooxh4

and

  • Pupils who have Education, Health and Care Plans and pupils those pupils who will be invited to attend via the school’s welfare team. Contact will be made to those eligible for a place on Monday 4th January.

Please be assured that we will also contact families of pupils who should be in school but have not returned to school.

Tuesday 5th – 8th January:

  • Year 11 pupils will receive their work remotely.All work will be provided through the pupils’ established Google Classrooms. All pupils should now have joined these and already have access to them. If any pupil needs a reminder of any codes, these can be found at:

  • No pupils have external exams during this week, but those in Year 10 and 11 who have Creative iMedia on 11th January should ensure that they are completing revision at home for this with materials also available on Google Classroom.

From Monday 11th January:

  • Year 11 pupils will return to school on Monday 11th January 2021.
  • Pupils in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 will receive their work remotely for this week. All work will be provided through the pupils’ established Google Classrooms. If any pupil needs a reminder of codes they can be found at: https://www.deantrustardwick.co.uk/remote-learning/

Year 10 and 11 pupils taking Creative iMedia have an external exam on Monday 11th January. On Monday 11th January only, these Year 10 pupils should also attend school at 8.40am until the end of the exam.

  • Please also be aware that the start of the Year 10 mock exams (originally planned to begin on Tuesday 12th January) will be delayed to allow sufficient and fair preparation time for our pupils. You will be contacted with updated timetables.

From Monday 18th January:

  • all pupils from all year groups will attend school

We shall contact parents/carers of pupils who are entitled to free school meals to share arrangements for the time when pupils are not in school.

Please appreciate that our plans may be subject to change depending on the most recent Government guidance for schools. We will always endeavour however, to provide the best possible learning experience for your child during these most challenging of times.
